Lake Barrington, Illinois,Services for Marilyn Pollock, nee Wessman, 79, of Lake Barrington, will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 23, Countryside Church Unitarian Universalist, 1025 N Smith St, Palatine, IL. Born March 28, 1930 in Ogden, Utah, she passed away peacefully January 20 2010 at her home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington. Visitation 3 p.m. until 6 p.m., Friday, February 22, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W Main St(Lake-Cook Rd), Barrington, IL 60010. Marilyn was the youngest of 14 children. She enjoyed playing tennis, cards, and piano duets, dogs, and walking around the lake with her Lake Barrington Shores friends. Survivors include her children, Kathryn Rohm of Fountain Valley, CA, Diana Nordli of Ojai, CA, and Dr. Douglas (Jo-Anne) Nordli of Barrington Hills; nine grandchildren, Elizabeth McMeans, Gregory Rohn, Laura (Davis) Prescott, Paul, Anne, and Claire Rohm, Douglas R. III, and Mairead and Kiersten Nordli; a sister, Norinne Husbands; two brothers, Ernest (Elaine) Wessman and Keith (Lilly) Wessman; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. George B. Pollock, three sisters and seven brothers.
