Marion E. Rettke of Barrington passed away peacefully November 13, 2024, two days after her 99th birthday November 11 (1925). She was born in Chicago to Clarence and Ilona Gercken.

Marion was a loving sister to Clarence J. (Gail) Gercken; dear aunt to Arlene (late Don) Williams, Mel (Nancy) Karasek, Cheryl (Bill) Pawlik, Joy (Tony) Nogly, C.J. (Julie) Gercken III, and Guy (Sue) Gercken; great aunt to late Ian and Ben (Katie) Nogly; and caring cousin to many. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Rettke; and long-time partner, Calverd F. Jacobsen.

Visitation will be held 3-7pm, Tuesday November 19 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake Cook Road) Barrington. The funeral service will be 11am Wednesday November 20 at the funeral home with visitation beginning at 10am. Interment will be private.
