Mark Pearson, of Lake Geneva, WI, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at the age of 54. Mark built a remarkable life with family, friends and colleagues but his commitment to service began at a very young age. As a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps who served in the Persian Gulf War, he carried the discipline, integrity, and sense of purpose he developed in uniform to every aspect of his life.

Mark studied Finance at Indiana University and received a Master’s Degree at Depaul University. He eventually made his way to Chicago where he built a distinguished 25-year career as a principal in Deloitte’s Consulting Services Life Sciences Forensic & Financial Crime practice. A Certified Fraud Examiner with deep expertise across internal investigations, forensic accounting, Foreign Corrupt Practice Act matters, and M&A, he was a trusted advisor to many clients. He was known at work for his rigor, judgement, and unwavering commitment to excellence.

Outside of work, Mark and Kate had three children. Mark was a devoted father and cherished time with family. There was never any doubt that Andy, Ava and Ella, brought him his greatest joy. Mark also enjoyed the opportunity to slip away for a day of fishing, a walk in nature, relishing a good sunset, taking a scenic drive with his top down on his Porsche, and enjoying an occasional cigar. Those who knew Mark will remember the wit, the warmth, and the genuine joy he brought to an ordinary day.

Mark is survived by and will be forever loved by his son Andy; his two daughters, Ava and Ella; his mother and step-father, Marlene Miller and Patrick Miller; his father and step-mother, Philip Pearson Sr. and Laurie Pearson; his siblings and step-siblings, Philip Pearson Jr., Chad Lauresdorf (Karla), Ryan Lauresdorf (Ryan), Jill Miller Hardt (Darrell), Andrew Miller, Timothy Miller (Darlene); his nephews and nieces, Philip Dawson Pearson, Graham Carlson Ritz, Cody Lauersdorf (Sarah), Cole Lauersdorf (Morgan), Kendra Lauresdorf, Alex Lauresdorf (Robyn), Logan Lauersdorf (Savannah), and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
