Mark Edward Toscano

Mark E. Toscano, 71, of Mesa, AZ and Crystal Lake, IL, passed away on August 7, 2024. He was born on May 10, 1953, in Elmhurst, IL, to Martin and Dolores (nee McKerlie) Toscano.

He was married to Elisabeth "Libby" Appleton on April 30, 1983, in Cary, IL. Mark earned a BS in Business from Illinois State University and dedicated over 30 years to his career as General Manager at Crystal Lake Tire & Battery.

Mark had a deep love for live music, attending countless concerts. He liked baseball and especially enjoyed going to the Cubs spring training games in Arizona. His loyal dog, Princess, was always by his side. Before a stroke 12 years ago, Mark was an avid golfer and boater, and played an active role in the Crystal Lake Jaycees and Rotary Club.

Mark is survived by his son, Matthew Toscano of Crystal Lake, IL; his sisters, Beverly (Herb) Ficken of McHenry, IL, and Linda (Terrell Goeke) Toscano of Carefree, AZ.

Mark was preceded in death by his wife, Libby; his brother, Paul Toscano; and his parents.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 14th, from 10 a.m. until a service at 1 p.m. at Davenport Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.  A luncheon for family and friends will follow at 2: 30 p.m.
