Marvin Serveas

Marvin John Serveas, 83, of Port Barrington, died, April 29, 2014, in Chicago.

He was born on August 4, 1930, to Frances and Mary Serveas in Green Bay Wisconsin.

He was greatly loved and will be missed.

Marvin is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Joan; children, Claire (Armando) Pizarro and Anne Serveas; grandchildren, Kristen, Nicholas and Kathryn Pizarro; brother, Ervin Serveas; and sister, Bernice (Dempsey) Baker.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Walter and sisters, Gloria and Marion.

Visitation will be held from 4-9 p.m., Thursday, May 1, 2014, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main Street, Barrington, IL 60010.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 2, 2014, at Transfiguration Parish, 348 West Mill Street, Wauconda, IL 60084.

Burial will be held at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, following mass.
