Michael Taylor

Michael Taylor, 51, of Crystal Lake, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2010 at home. He was born May 15, 1958 in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire to Harold and Nancy (nee Shannon) Taylor. We'll always remember Mike standing at the door of Martini's on Main with his big grin, welcoming you "Where Old Friends Meet" and most recently at The Brunswick Zone. He loved his family, his cat, his Harley, the Patriots, the Red Sox, and Wrestlemania. Larger than life, Mike had a heart of gold and always went out of his way to lend a hand. He was a proud member of his Masonic Lodge and was a 32nd degree mason and a member of the Scottish Rite and Shrine. Survivors include his children, Amy Taylor and Nathan Taylor; his parents, Harold and Nancy Taylor; his brothers, Bradley (Mary) Taylor, Timothy (Patricia) Taylor, and Matthew Taylor; and his sister Cynthia (Robert) Harper. Preceding him in death were his grandparents. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 23 from 3pm until the time of the memorial service at 8pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt 176), Crystal Lake. The family asks that you dress casually as this is a celebration of his life. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Michael?s name may be made to Helping Paws Animal Shelter, 2500 Harding Ln, Woodstock IL 60098-6921.
