Mildred Roos

Services for Mildred O. "Millie" Roos, nee Olsen, 88 of Barrington will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 11 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St., (Lake-Cook Rd.), Barrington, where the family will be receiving friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. The Reverend Olin Sletto will officiate. Interment will be private. She was born, April 15, 1921 in Chicago and passed away peacefully, March 6, 2010 at her home. She attended Northwestern University where she was a member of the Ki Delta Alpha Sorority. Millie was a very talented artist and seamstress. She was an avid gardener and a member of a local garden club. She is survived by her husband, Erik E. Roos, whom she married April 28, 1944 in Chicago; a sister, Eleanor Stoor of Kansas City, MO; and several loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Hilma (Oscar) Taft.
