Mudbidri Kishore Rao

Mudbidri Kishore Rao, age 83, of Hawthorn Woods, IL passed away peacefully on Thursday July 17, 2025.

Mudbidri Kishore Rao was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India on September 26, 1941. He was a brilliant pharmaceutical chemist who graduated with his Masters Degree in Chemistry from the prestigious UDCT in Mumbai. His contribution in the formulation of the drugs that prevented and cured Tuberculosis will always be remembered and honored. His dedication to his work and his family has set an example for all those who were lucky enough to know him. We; his family in India and here in the United States will always remember him for his quiet humility, calm and loving nature and most of all for his constant care and concern for all his loved ones.

Mudbidri Kishore Rao is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Vidya Kishore Rao; son, Manoj; daughter in law Jyoti; grand-daughters Sharanya and Shloka; sister Shanta and dogs Finn & Coco.

A service for Mudbidri Kishore Rao will be held from 2pm until 5pm on Wednesday July 23, 2025, at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Old Rand Rd., Lake Zurich, IL 60047.
