Nancy Ann Sullivan, 78, of Crystal Lake, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025. She was born in Chicago on November 11, 1946, to the late Herb and Jerry (Nelson) Milarski.
In 1982, Nancy and her best friend, Ronald Sullivan, gathered $1,500 in loose change they had been saving, cashed it in, and took a trip to Las Vegas that they would never forget. There, surrounded by excitement and laughter, they were married. From that day on, their life together was filled with fun, adventure, and countless shared memories.
Ronald worked as an over-the-road truck driver, and Nancy often joined him on the open road. Together they traveled across the country and even saw the world, visiting Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Amsterdam, and other beautiful parts of Europe.
Nancy worked for AT&T for more than 17 years and was known for her dedication, warmth, and friendly personality. She loved to cook and entertain, filling her home with good food, laughter, and the people she loved most. Her family meant everything to her, and she found her greatest joy in being a mother and grandmother.
At home, Nancy poured her heart into her gardens and backyard, creating a space that reflected her creativity and care. She was determined, persistent, and never gave up until she found the answer she was looking for. Above all, Nancy was caring, loving, and deeply devoted to her family.
Nancy is survived by her husband Ronald, her son Michael Hahnfeld, stepchildren Danny (Kristi) Sullivan, Patrick (Bethany) Sullivan, Kevin (Kathleen) Sullivan, and Kelly (Brian) Rude, and grandchildren Jacob and Danielle Hahnfeld, and Emily Rude.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Dawn Tassos and her brother Wayne Milarski.
Nancy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
