Nancy Toepfer

Nancy Toepfer (nee Wiley), 68, of the Village of Lakewood passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at Memorial Medical Center in Woodstock, Illinois. She was born November 1, 1940, in Dubuque, Iowa to Elvin and Helen (nee Peters) Wiley. Nancy was a grade school playground supervisor for over 20 years and was proud of her contribution. She enjoyed golfing, shopping, reading, her grandchildren, and watching a good tennis match. She is survived by her husband Lano; four sons, Timothy (Virginia) Toepfer of Bolingbrook, IL, Scott (Amy) Toepfer of Naperville, IL, Mark (Joan) Toepfer of Kenosha, WI, and David (Rebecca) Toepfer of Huntley, IL; 11 grandchildren; and a sister, Janette Thomas. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, James Wiley. The visitation will be on Saturday, September 19 from 8:30am until the 11:30am memorial service at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt. 176), Crystal Lake, Illinois. The Reverend David Zinck will officiate. Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be sent to Woods Creek Elementary School, 1100 Alexandra Blvd, Crystal Lake IL 60014.
