Nola M. Wenzel

Nola M. Wenzel, of Lake in the Hills, Illinois, passed to eternal life on November 22, 2025, at Encore Memory Care.

Born March 10, 1934, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Nola was the younger of two children of Eric C. and Myrtle L. Marquardt.

She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, playing solitaire, and singing in choirs throughout her life. Nola was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crystal Lake, Illinois, after moving from Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, in 2007.

She is survived by her daughter, Caryl, of Lake in the Hills, along with nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace J. Wenzel, her parents, and her sister, Lois Gutekunst.

Arrangements are being coordinated by Harder Funeral Home in Brookfield, Wisconsin, and Davenport Family Funeral Homes in Crystal Lake.

Visitation will be held at Davenport Family Funeral Homes, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, on Tuesday, December 2, from 3 p.m. until the time of service at 5 p.m.

A second visitation will be held at Harder Funeral Home, 18700 W Capitol Dr, Brookfield, WI on Thursday, December 4, from 10 a.m. until a service at 12 noon. Burial will follow at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield.
