Norma J. Purcell

Norma was born on July 31,1925 and ascended to heaven into the arms of our Lord on February 13,2026.

Norma‘s huge heart, spirit, compassion, and giving nature exemplify the biblical fruits of the spirit.

She never met a stranger she didn’t embrace and made lifelong friends wherever she lived. She was a voracious reader, and lover of music. Norma had such an incredible way with words, and never missed an occasion to send a personalized card to those she loved. She often said that she could have been a writer for a card company. Norma was blessed with many grandchildren, nieces and nephews and was known to show up at their doorstep with a bag of groceries and a helping hand. God called her to open her home and care for many people on their journey back to God. She did so with a joyful heart and tender care.

Norma is preceded in death by her beloved husband Thomas Purcell, parents Emil and Lacey (Turpin) Frederking, her sisters Donna (Kerry) Sheridan and Lois (George) Richards, brother Lloyd Frederking and stepson William (Barbara) Purcell.

Norma is survived by her step daughter, Diane Lolli (Frank), grandchildren Mary Lu (Keith) Robinson, Betsy (Tom) Powers, Francis (Joni) Lolli, and John (Leann) Lolli, Bill (Michelle) Purcell, Joy (Mike) Rich, Megan (Mike) Crim, Thomas (Katie) Purcell, nieces and nephews, Diane Sheridan McLelland, Patricia Sheridan, Mary Kay (Fritz) Frazier, Karen (Bill) Vance , Rosemary (David) Muchow, Robert (Katie) Johnson and Terry (Holly) Nelson-Johnson. She will also be missed by many great grandchildren, great nieces and nephews.
