She enjoyed a good book and her cat. Her survivors include her mother, Rita Arend nee Roemer; and her siblings, Mona Arend, Kathy Arend, and Ron Arend. She was preceded in death by her father, Douglas Arend. Arrangements are private. Memorials in her name may be sent to Helping Paws Animal Shelter, 2500 Harding Ln, Woodstock IL 60098-6921.
