Patricia Lee Ryan

Patricia "Pat" Ryan (formerly Acker), 83, of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2026.

Pat was born in Mount Prospect on February 28, 1943, to Pauline and Harry Geserick. In her youth, she enjoyed riding horses and competing in equestrian activities. As a single mother raising her son, Michael, she worked hard to provide for them both, as a hairdresser and in food service positions. Later in life, she excelled as a top salesperson in the children's shoe department at Nordstrom, where she received multiple sales awards.

Pat was well known for her lifelong love of animals. Later in life, she volunteered with a local animal shelter, taking great joy in caring for and rehoming stray cats.

She is survived by her son, Michael (the late Kelly) Acker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pauline and Harry, and her sister, Lynn (John) Plein.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Pat’s honor to a local animal shelter or rescue organization of your choice.
