Patricia Vance

Patricia Ann Vance (née Campana), age 76, of Palatine, Illinois, beloved mother, cherished grandmother, and dear friend, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, November 27, 2025. She was born on March 5, 1949, the daughter of Tony and Genevieve Campana of Mount Prospect, Illinois. She graduated from Sacred Heart of Mary High School in Rolling Meadows and went on to many careers that all stemmed around caring and providing for others: loving homemaker, dedicated school cafeteria assistant, food service director and doting nanny to her grandchildren.

Patricia had a true gift for cooking and found joy in preparing meals for the people she loved. Whether she was making a simple family dinner or one of her cherished Italian dishes, her kitchen was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the smell of something delicious. A proud Catholic, she carried her faith with her in both quiet moments and daily acts of kindness. More than anything, she treasured time with her grandchildren and family. She made every visit feel special and never forgot to tell them she loved them, “a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck,” words they will hold in their hearts forever.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Michael Campana. She is survived by her ex-spouse Jerry Vance of Macomb, IL and their children; daughter Jennifer (Jason) Adkins of Spring Grove, IL; sons, Ryan (Elizabeth) Vance of Lawrenceville, GA and Mike (Kristy) Vance of Lowell, MI; grandchildren Luke (Kelly) Vance, Corbin Vance, Landry, Oliver and Adeline Vance; sisters and brothers, MaryLou Danielson, James Campana, Mark Campana and Margaret Campana; and nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 12pm until 4pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 941 S Old Rand Road, Lake Zurich, Illinois, 60047.
