Paul Listhartke

Barrington, Illinois,Services for Paul L. Listhartke, 69, a lifelong resident of Barrington, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 23, 2010, at Salem United Methodist Church, 115 W. Lincoln Avenue, Barrington, IL, 60010 where the family will be receiving friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. The Reverend Rick Carlson will officiate. Paul passed away peacefully October 19th at the University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago surrounded by his loving family. Burial will be in Deer Grove Cemetery. Visitation Friday, October 22, from 3-8 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Rd.), Barrington, 60010. Paul was a 1959 graduate of Barrington High School, where he sang in the Barbershop Quartet, was a member of the band, and played football. He enjoyed playing the piano, classical music, working outdoors, photography, and was an avid Chicago Bears fan. Survivors include his wife, Margaret E. (nee Hess), whom he married May 25, 1963 at Salem E.U.B. Church, where he continued to be a member; 2 children, Laura (Brian) Delfino of St. Augustine, FL and Lynn Listhartke of Gilberts, IL; a granddaughter Tiffany Heaps; a sister-in-law Carol Listhartke, and several loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Ella (nee Bernhagen) Listhartke, brothers Wayne and George Listhartke. Memorials in Mr. Listhartke?s name may be made to Salem United Methodist Church.
