Paul “De” SeLander, 80, of Cary, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2023. He was born on June 7, 1942 in Dayton, OH to the late Paul and Ann SeLanders.

De will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 58 years, Risa (nee Ivers); daughter Tami SeLander Broskow (husband Wray Broskow), daughter Gina SeLander, grandson, Kevin Broskow, grandaughters DeAnna SeLander and Natalie Broskow along with his beloved dog, Bailey.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Guy and Cyrilla Ridenour.

De and Risa owned and operated the Baskin & Robbins in Cary for many years, it was here he coined the nickname Dipper De.

Memorial visitation will be Sunday, January 8, 2023 from 11 AM until 2 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Interment will be private.
