Peggy Bond Kupitz

Peggy Bond Kupitz, born February 5, 1939, in Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2026. A proud graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and a member of Kappa Delta Sorority, Peggy led a life marked by enthusiasm, curiosity, and kindness.

Peggy spent 26 years as a flight attendant with Trans World Airlines, including 11 years flying the Chicago–London route. Her love for adventure shaped her career and provided her with lifelong stories.

Dedicated to her community, Peggy served as a member of the Crystal Lake First Congregational Church and as a board member at the Crystal Lake Food Pantry for many years.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Arthur Kupitz; her mother, Dorothy Elam Bischoff; her father, H.R. Bond; and her siblings, Gerald Bond and Debra Bond Yancey. She is remembered fondly by her sister Diane Bond Kanah; stepchildren Kurt and Kevin (wife Susan); grandsons Ken (Laura) and Steve (Jenny) Kupitz; and great-grandchildren Karter, Kaden, Logan and Leila Kupitz.

Peggy found joy in flying, caring for her cats, cooking, gardening, reading, and, most importantly, spending time with family and friends. Her warmth, generosity, and spirit will be cherished by all who had the privilege to know her.

Her service will be at 2:00 on Sunday November 29th at The First Congregational Church of Crystal Lake, located at 461 Pierson St, Crystal Lake, IL 60014.

In lieu of flowers, she would have loved donations to be made to the Crystal Lake Food Pantry at www.clfoodpantry.org.

May her legacy of kindness and service continue to inspire.
