Peter Michael Dzialo

Peter Michael Dzialo, 69, of Lake in the Hills, IL, was ushered into God’s presence early morning of May 8th, 2024. He was surrounded by his loving family when he passed at Lutheran General Hospital of Park Ridge, IL. 

Peter was born on May 4, 1955, in Chicago, IL, to Bernice J. (Janiszewski) Dzialo and Casimir J. Dzialo. He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Linda Dzialo; best father in the world to Bethany (Brian) Alger, Kristen (Paul) Downing, and Gabriel Dzialo; proud and devoted grandfather to Henry, Scarlette, and Celine Alger; caring brother to Constance (John) Thullen, Alice Giovannetti, and Annette (Brian McGivern) Slingo; kind in-law to Dee Atkinson, Donald (Robin) Zonic, Rachelle (Robert) Loncarevic, and Melody (Ben) Pahlow; and cherished uncle to many.    

He was a well-respected colleague and friend to many at Lutheran General Hospital, and recently celebrated 45 years as an echocardiogram technician there. During his final days of life, he was surrounded and cared for by the dedicated and kind doctors, critical care nurses, and staff that he admired.  

Pete was an avid joke teller - always ready to play, have fun, and laugh with those around him. He was a gardener, amateur bowler, intentional gift giver, and lover of sports, research, and education. Peter was a loving husband and father, an adoring grandpa, and a source of wisdom to many. Most of all, he loved, treasured, and revered Jesus Christ, Lord of all. Peter committed his life to Christ in November of 1973. Transformed by God’s grace, salvation, and redemption, Pete gained gifts of the Holy Spirit throughout the years. His passion for sharing the Gospel was evident in the way that he conducted himself daily by evangelizing to neighbors, patients, co-workers, and family members. Peter shared the Truth of salvation through Jesus with thousands over the decades. By faithfully reading the Bible daily, he developed the knowledge and wisdom to lead his family well and a readiness to communicate with others about Christ. He served His Heavenly Father faithfully on this earth. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 18th, at Fox Valley Church, 37W073 Huntley Rd., Dundee Township, IL, beginning with a visitation at 2:00 pm. Service and worship will start at 4:00 pm. Immediately following the service, there will be light refreshments and an opportunity to share memories. 

In lieu of flowers, donations to the family to support the unforeseen medical and funeral expenses are welcome.
