Ralph P. Meckel

Ralph P. Meckel , longtime resident of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully in his sleep Monday, March 22, 2021 at the age of 81. He was born July 22, 1939, the son of the late Ralph and Bertha Meckel.

Ralph attended Case Western Reserve and graduated as a civil engineer. He also served in the US Army Corps of Engineers. Ralph enjoyed sports, the Bears, Cubs, Cleveland Browns, and playing golf.

Ralph was the husband of 59 years to Ann; beloved father of Suzanne  Wickman and Stephen Meckel. Ralph had seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his son, Sam; and brothers-in-law, Billy Wales and David Wales.

Due to the pandemic, services for Ralph will be held privately for his family.
