Richard “Rich” Radzwilowicz, 86, passed away peacefully leaving behind a lifetime of love and dedication to his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose kindness, humor, and selfless nature touched everyone who knew him.
Rich proudly served in the U.S. Army for three years before beginning a long and dedicated career with Illinois Bell, later AT&T, where he worked until retirement. He was also a long-standing member of the Knights of Columbus, which included holding the position of Grand Knight. Known as a jack of all trades, there was nothing he couldn’t fix - as the family all knew “if papa couldn’t fix it no one could”. His willingness to help others, especially his wife and family, was a constant example of his generous spirit.
A lifelong Green Bay Packers fan, Rich never missed a chance to cheer on his team. While he loved sudoku and enjoyed his ice cream, pretzels, wheat thins, and peanut butter, his greatest joy was found in his family. Being “Papa/Bumpa” to his grandchildren was his proudest role, and he was lovingly known as the world’s greatest grandpa. Anyone who met Rich loved him, and his passing leaves a lasting hole in the hearts of his family and friends.
Rich was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. He is survived by his beloved wife, Leona Radzwilowicz; his children, Rob (Val) Radzwilowicz, Laura (Tim) Bachara, and Lynn (Todd) Francis; and his cherished grandchildren, Travis, Shane, and Wyatt Radzwilowicz; JC Bachara; and Kindle and Amiya Francis.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 5, with location and time to be announced. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories of Rich, whose love and legacy will live on in all of us. Packer attire is strongly encouraged.
