Richard “Ric” Case Jr, 77, of Lake Zurich, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2024. He was born on October 22, 1946 in Pottstown, PA to the late Richard Sr. and Amelia Case.

Ric was a proud veteran of the United States Army, stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War, he served with honor, embodying the values of duty, loyalty, and sacrifice.

On October 25, 1997, Ric married Jacqueline “Jackie” Michuda; together they celebrated 26 wonderful years of marriage. Ric was not only a devoted father to his son but also a loving stepfather to his two stepdaughters. Their union was not just a marriage but a celebration of love, acceptance, and the strength that comes from blending hearts and homes.

Ric found joy and freedom on the open road, riding his cherished Harley Davidson motorcycles. As a proud member of Top Cats and Hog Chapter, he shared his love for the open highway with like-minded individuals, forming lasting connections within the motorcycle community.

Sports held a special place in Ric's heart, with baseball being a particular favorite. He was a dedicated fan, holding season tickets for not just one, but three major Chicago teams – the Cubs, the White Sox, and the Bears. His enthusiasm for the games was infectious, and he reveled in the victories and weathered the defeats with unwavering loyalty.

In addition to his beloved wife, Ric is survived by his son, Steven Case, and stepdaughters, Lisa (Chuck) Newman and Tara (Bob) Maxey; grandchildren, Ethan and Ryan Case, Luke and Max Newman; his siblings, Ron Case and Debbie Hoffman; niece and nephew, Dianna and Tyler.
