Robert Romuald Jermak

Robert Romuald Jermak (53) passed away peacefully on November 30th, 2023.

Born June 5th, 1970 to Anna and Jan Jermak, Robert lived his young life in Lubniewice, Poland with his brother, Darek, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends nearby.

With his wife, Elzbieta, he spent five years in Germany. They then in 1994 immigrated to Chicago, IL and had their two children Matthew and Nicole.

Forever proud of his children, Robert was an extraordinarily hard working father, who worked to show his children the world. He inspired them to travel and enjoy all that the world has to offer.

Robert loved the ocean and sailing, always recounting his travels across the South Pacific with his dear friends. He loved to travel and visited 49 US states except for Alaska, which he planned to visit. Robert loved to visit his home country, Poland .

Robert was loyal, clever, and full to the brim with knowledge gained through all of his life experiences - he could fix or build anything. He loved cars, music, and above all else he loved people. He was full of life and laughter, sometimes calling to chat for hours on end.

Robert will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each of them - and if you knew him, you knew it. He will be missed dearly.

Visitation will be held Sunday, December 10, 2023 from 1pm until the time of the prayer service at 430pm. A Funeral Mass will be held the following day, Monday, December 11, 2023 at 10:30am at Transfiguration Catholic Community 316 W Mill Street, Wauconda, IL 60084.
