Robert "Bob" Jeschke

Robert “Bob” David Jeschke, of Barrington, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at the age of 70.

He was born June 3, 1953 in Park Ridge, the son of the late George and Joan (nee Busch) Jeschke.

Known for his infectious positivity and love for laughter, Bob was a true people-person. His genuine warmth was endearing to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Bob graduated from the University of Iowa and was a proud member of the Hawkeye’s football team where he formed unwavering friendships which followed him throughout his life. He continually demonstrated his passion for sports beyond college through various activities including tennis, softball, and other forms of friendly competition. He passed down his passion for sports to his children by coaching and cheering on their numerous sports teams. 

A lifelong enthusiast of outdoor activities, Bob had a particular fondness for fishing. He cherished the serene moments spent by the water, finding solace and joy in the embrace of nature, never afraid to turn any moment into a fun adventure.

Bob’s greatest joy came from spending time with his family. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he exemplified the essence of a family man, always prioritizing the well-being and happiness of his loved ones over his own.

Bob leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have shared in his remarkable journey.

Bob is survived by his former wife, Nadine; his children, Michelle (Michael) Wright, Clay (Nicole) Jeschke, Steven (fiancée Joanna Kim) Jeschke; his grandchildren, Madison, Brayden, and Connor; his sister, Suzy Lee; and many nieces and his nephew.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, George “Jay” Jeschke.

Friends are welcome to visit with Bob’s family on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. with a memorial service beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W Main St., Barrington, IL 60010.
