Robert E. Syversen, Sr.

Robert E. Syversen, Sr., 90, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at his home in Crystal Lake. He was born August 4, 1927 in Chicago to Erick S. and Emma C. (nee Krumhaar) Syversen.

Bob spent the majority of his career in the dairy industry at Borden Dairy. At his retirement, he worked for the Nunda Township road district. He was admired by all for his work ethic. Bob served proudly in the Army, based in Europe during WWII. He was a life-long, diehard Cubs fan. The most important thing in Bob’s life was his family and he worked hard to provide for them. They all enjoyed spending time at their lake house in Delavan, WI.

He is survived by his children, Susan Bridges, Robert (Karen) Syversen, Jr., William (Kathleen) Syversen, and Jean (Jeffrey) Lenard; and his grandchildren, Erick, Matthew, Jessica, Michael, and Kristen.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Barbara A. (nee Jacques) Syversen, who passed away July, 2017; his siblings; and his parents.

Services for Bob will be held privately.
