Robert "Bob" Westphal

Robert “Bob” Westphal passed away peacefully at his home July 28, 2022, surrounded by his loving family, following a nine year battle with bladder cancer.  He was born October 30, 1946 in Woodstock to Harold and Lucille Westphal.

Bob was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and an avid fisherman.  He worked as an assembler for Union Special for 40 years.

Bob is survived by his wife of 42 years, Connie; sons, Clint and Nicholas Westphal; sisters, Bonnie Sweet, and Gloria (late Steve) Winters; brother, Harold “Dale” (Kelly) Westphal; and many nieces, nephew, and extended family.

Visitation will be 4-9pm Monday August 1 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave (Route 176), Crystal Lake.

There will be visitation from 9am until the funeral service at 11am Tuesday, August 2 at McHenry County Memorial Park Chapel, 11301 Lake Ave, Woodstock, burial will follow.
