Robert "Bobby" Brian Ferris Jr.

Robert “Bobby” Brian Ferris Jr, 29, of Crystal Lake, IL passed away suddenly May 31, 2023. Bobby was born August 30, 1993, in Elgin, IL to Robert and Patricia Ferris.

From the time Bobby was 6 years old, he was an active scout in his Boy Scouts of America (BSA) Troup 168 and became an Eagle Scout in 2011. Bobby graduated from Central High School in 2012; he was an active athlete, participating in football, track, and baseball. He played baseball for the Crystal Lake American Little League and the Babe Ruth League up until he was 19 years old. Bobby graduated from McHenry County Community College with his Construction Management Certification.

Bobby was born to be a helper. He was very active in the Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Youth Ministry and went on 6 mission trips. He even gave up a track scholarship to Judson University to go on a 19-month long solo mission trip to Joplin to help victims of the 2011 tornado. It was there in Joplin that Bobby discovered his passion for electrical work.

Bobby began battling against alcohol and fought relentlessly with the love and support of his family for ten years, unfortunately, he lost this battle.

Bobby is survived by his parents, Robert and Patricia Ferris, brothers, Matthew and James Ferris. He is preceded in death by his grandparents; Janet Poyner and Wanda and Earl Ferris.

Visitation will be held June 12, 2023, from 1 until the time of service at 3pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory 419 E Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake Illinois 60014.
