Ronald F. Black, 88, of Woodstock, Illinois passed away March 9, 2024. Ron was born on December 23, 1935, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Joseph Hartman and Evelyn Black.
Ron married his loving wife of nearly 66 years, Arlene, on April 12, 1958, at the Sacred Heart Church in Chicago, Illinois. They eventually moved to Arlington Heights, where they raised their three children before retiring to Woodstock, Illinois.
Ron is survived by his loving wife Arlene Black; children, Kathleen (Steven) Wolter, Joan (John) Pusatera, and Ron Black; grandchildren, Anthony (Betsy), Joseph (Natsuko), Maria, Stephanie (Darren), Kimberly (Timothy), Jonathan (Devyn); great grandchildren, Arlo, Otto, Annie, Katie, Olivine, Stone, Gabriella, Carmelo, and one baby girl on the way; and many nieces and nephews. Ron is preceded in death by his siblings, June Van Halewyn, and John Black.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 15, 2024 from 3-7pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory 419 E Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake, Illinois. A second visitation will be held Saturday, March 16, 2024, from 10am until the time of Mass at 11am at Resurrection Catholic Church 2918 Country Club Rd, Woodstock, IL 60098. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Woodstock, Illinois.
