Rosemary Veronica Kenney

Rosemary Veronica Kenney, 91, of Algonquin, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2023. She was born on September 22, 1931, in Providence, RI to John and Susan Tierney.

On September 6, 1952, Rosemary married John F. Kenney at Immaculate Conception Church in Providence, RI. They celebrated 51 beautiful years of marriage until his death in 2003.

Rosemary was a very active member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, where she attended mass daily and devoted her time with Light of the World and the Adoration Chapel ministries. Her kindness and generosity will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Rosemary is survived by her children, Susanne (Bruce) Breda, John F. (Edwina) Kenney Jr., William (Mary Ann) Kenney; grandchildren, Kelly (Dave) Blum, Amy (Ryan) Farrell, Michelle (Fred) Berg, Caitlin Kenney, John F. Kenney III, Brennan (Sarah) Kenney, Brian (Laura) Kenney, Megan (Alex Cole) Kenney; great-grandchildren, Jack and Carter Blum, Brady and Luke Farrell, Grace and Rosie Berg, Riley Kenney, and another great-grandchild on the way. Above all, Rosemary was devoted to her family and was loved by them in return.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and brother John Tierney.

A memorial service and burial will be held privately in East Providence, Rhode Island.
