Ruth Ellen (Minder) Krawchuk

Ruth Ellen Krawchuk, 84, of Barrington passed away peacefully on February 21, 2018. She was born on October 17, 1933 in Maywood, IL to Manfred and Neva (nee White) Minder.
Ruth will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 64 years, Eugene “Gene” Krawchuk; her children, Mary Houston, Daniel, Carol and Jay Eckholm, and Michael. Grandchildren; Jeff, David, and Robin.

She was a kind soul with a big heart and willing to help anyone that needed it. She gave generously to veterans causes and to the humane society. She raised a family and had a successful career, retiring as a head underwriter of life insurance policies at Kemper Insurance. She was on the honor roll and a lifelong avid reader. When she was younger she enjoyed sewing and dressmaking. She was a dyed in the wool Democrat that had passion for social justice and volunteered on many political campaigns and was as an election judge.

She was loved and will be missed.

Services and interment will be private.
