Sandra Warpula

Sandra L. Warpula nee Duke, 67, Algonquin, died Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at her home. She was born November 9, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Virgil and Gertrude (Bellamy) Duke. She had her own caretaking business, called Sandy?s Sunshine Service. She was a very entrepreneurial person with a very open and caring heart. She was a member of the Algonquin Lioness Club for 9 ½ years. She is survived by her two sons, Todd (Liz) Warpula, David (Sue Rodriguez) Warpula; one daughter, Nancy (Edward) Wood; and eight grandchildren, Erika and Paul-Isaac Warpula, Amanda and Jenna Wood, Ashley and Colin Warpula, and Alex and Alyssa Rodriguez. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and one sister, Arlene J. Callahan. The service will be held at 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 9 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. The family will be receiving friends from 2pm until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flower memorials may be sent in Sandra's name to Hospice of Northeastern Illinois, 410 S Hager Ave, Barrington IL 60010.
