Shane Ryan Marquette

August 7, 1986 — December 16, 2022

Davenport, Lake Zurich

Shane Ryan Marquette passed away unexpectedly at his home December 16, 2022.  He was born August 7, 1986 in Hoffman Estates, Il to Mitchell and Katrina Marquette.

To know Shane, was to love him.

He had the ability to connect with anyone he came in contact with and made you feel special in those conversations. He valued his friendships and would do anything for a friend if asked. He took pride in his job, and his work ethic was respected and valued. He loved working for Westward and all the people he worked with over the past ten years.

Shane was a phenomenal golfer, snowboarder, drummer, and had the smoothest moves on the dance floor. He loved to play bags on hot summer nights and found a passion for gardening. There’s no doubt if you were around him, he would have had you laughing so hard your stomach would hurt. He loved making dad jokes, even before he became a dad.

He was a proud Fur-Father to the two Marquette boys, Odie and Toby. But, a prouder Father to his daughter, Aubrey. He beamed being around his little girl. She was his light.  His love for her is evident in every conversation he ever had about her or post he made on social media about her. Shane will shine brightly through Aubrey. She is the best part of him.

We celebrate the life of a loving son, brother, partner, and friend. Shane will be missed by so many. He was everyone’s sunshine on a cloudy day and always said, “You can’t be mad at the world when you’re eating ice cream.”

We love you Shane. Always and forever.

Shane is survived by his daughter, Aubrey; mother, Trina Marquette-Ross (Rick Ross); father, Mitch Marquette; sister, Sonja (Duane) Hall; step siblings, Elicia (Joshua) Coleman, Jackie Ross, and Jeff (Candice) Ross; nieces and nephews, Charlotte, Domino, Ally, and Connor; aunt, Julie Wilson; cousins, Dustin Lynn, Cameo Wilson, and Nathaniel Wilson; and former spouse, Michelle Marquette.

Visitation will be 2pm until the Celebration of Life at 6pm Thursday, December 22 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 941 S. Old Rand Road, Lake Zurich.
