Sharon Lee Cobb, 69, of North Barrington, passed away peacefully at home on February 27, 2026. She was born on January 17, 1957 at Fort Benning, GA to the late William and Joyce Storms.
Sharon grew up in Westchester County, New York and was immensely proud to be a New Yorker. She graduated in 1975 from Barrington High School and went on to attend Western Illinois University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree.
Fate intervened during a chance encounter when she met the love of her life, Ron Cobb Jr. They were married on August 2, 1986, in Oswego, Illinois, beginning a partnership built on love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. They celebrated 40 beautiful years together—a testament to their deep commitment and shared joy.
Sharon had a lifelong passion for gardening and the natural world. As a certified Master Gardener through the University of Illinois Master Gardener Program, she generously shared her knowledge and enthusiasm with others. She found peace and purpose in practicing horticulture, cultivating vibrant gardens that reflected patience and care. In addition to her love of gardening, Sharon had a love for fashion, was an avid tennis player and enjoyed golfing. For 32 years, she was a devoted member of The Club at Wynstone, where she and Ron made their home and built cherished friendships within a close-knit community.
Sharon will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Ron; their sons, Ron III (Megan) Cobb, Andrew (Olivia) Cobb, Peter (Tia) Cobb; grandsons, Ronnie, Joey, Charlie, Peter Jr., and one baby boy on the way; her mother-in-law, Mary Lusak; her aunt, Billie Prizio; cousin, Gay Prizio; and by many friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Billy and Bob Storms, fathers-in-law, Ronald Cobb Sr. and John “Jack” Lusak and her cousin, Joy Prizio.
