Sherry Sue VanOchten

Sherry Sue (nee Oswald) VanOchten, 79, of Tower Lakes, Illinois, died peacefully on November 1, 2025, due to complications from multiple strokes.

She was born in Bay City, Michigan on March 9, 1946, to parents Carl and Mary (nee Bailer) Oswald. Sherry married Bob VanOchten on February 19, 1966. Sherry spent most of her employment years with Saginaw Grey Iron Foundry in Human Resources.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Bob VanOchten, her three siblings, Dean (Jewel) Oswald of Newberry, Michigan, Judy (Bob) Dutton of Bay City, Michigan/Venice, Florida, and Janece "Babe" (the late LeeRoy) Rechsteiner of Acworth, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation was private at Davenport Family Funeral Home, and no Memorial Service is planned, at Sherry's request.
