Stefan Bischof, 87, of Barrington, passed away peacefully at home on September 27, 2025. He was born on January 15, 1938 in Croatia to Adam and Julianna Bischof.
On April 23, 1960, he married the love of his life, Marianne, and together they celebrated 65 beautiful years of marriage and were blessed with 3 children and further blessed with 4 grandchildren.
Stefan had a deep appreciation for the outdoors—he loved hunting, fishing, skiing, and traveling. Stefan was a devoted husband and a proud father, but his greatest joy came from being a grandfather. He cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren.
Stefan will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Marianne; his children, Steven (Elizabeth) Bischof and Monica (William) Grant; grandchildren, Stephanie, Matthew, William and Mark.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Christine and his sister, Katherina and her husband, Miro.
The Bischof family extends heartfelt thanks to Heartland Hospice for their exceptional care.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 30, 2025 from 4 PM until 8 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W. Main St. (Lake Cook Rd.), Barrington, IL 60010.
