Stephen Raymond Kugelman

Stephen Raymond Kugelman, 75 of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026. He was born on July 6, 1951 in Union City, New Jersey to Raymond and Hyacinthe (nee Lepore).

Steven was a proud veteran of the United States Navy having served for 7 years as E5 silent service; a member of the Free Masons lodge 337, Boy Scout Troop 347 Crystal Lake, Northern Illinois ‘O’ Gaugers Model Railroad Club, and modular partners.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Karen (nee Erwood); Sons, Kevin Kugelman of Arlington Heights, IL and Mark Kugelman of Crystal Lake, IL; grandsons, Victor and Domink Kugelman; and siblings, Teresa (Carmine) Kopecky, Greg (Marge) Adams, Susan (Joe) Torres, Richard Kugelman and Christine Kugelman.

Stephen was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Kugelman and his parents, Raymond and Hyacinthe Kugelman.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026 from 4pm until 8pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rt. 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Saturday, July 11 from 10am until 11am followed by an entombment at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary, IL.
