Sue Karecki

Susan Mary Karecki, 65, passed away surrounded by family on November 17, 2024, in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Born on May 5, 1959, Sue was a cherished presence in the lives of her family and friends. She was depended on and trusted by many, and she created a welcoming home that was always open to loved ones.

Sue is survived by her children, Amber (Eric) Myszka, Chad (Kelly) Karecki, and Abby Karecki; grandchildren James, Mark, and Audrey Myszka; Leo and Bode Karecki; siblings Ken (Julie) Schaefges, Terri (Dave) Skupien, and sister-in-law Mary Schaefges. She was preceded in death by her sister Lori Rieger, brother Mike Schaefges, and parents Eugene and Marilyn Schaefges.

Friends and family can pay their respects on Friday, November 22, from 4 PM until 8 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 941 S Old Rand Rd, Lake Zurich, IL. A funeral mass will be held the following day, Saturday, November 23, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S Buesching Rd, Lake Zurich, IL with a visitation an hour prior.
