Tammie Jo Hartwig

Tammie Jo Hartwig, 63, of Prospect Heights IL , formerly of Crystal Lake, IL, passed away December 15, 2022. Tammie was born July 5, 1959, in Elgin, IL to the late Gerald and Jeanette Blanken.

Tammie had a captive personality, once you met her you instantly became friends. Her greatest joys in life were taking care of her family and friends; you were always able to count on her.

In these recent days, most of Tammie’s free time was spent baking with her immediate family and preparing for a beautiful Christmas Day. She will be deeply missed during the holiday season.

Tammie’s proudest achievement in life was becoming a grandmother to Hazel. Tammie encouraged Hazel in so many ways and was extremely supportive in her endeavors.

Tammie is survived by her daughter, Heidi Hartwig; granddaughter, Hazel Hartwig; twin sister, Pamela (Ted) Baseleon; adopted sister, Katie (Ken) Kalte; and many nieces and nephews.

Tammie is preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Norman Keith Hartwig; and nephew, Michael Cloughly.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 9am till the time of service at 10:30am at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory 419 E Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake. Burial will follow the service at Windridge Memorial Park 7014 S Rawson Bridge Rd, Cary at 12pm.
