Taramati G. Patel

Taramati G. Patel, of South Barrington, Illinois, passed away peacefully in the early evening of January 21, 2026, at the age of 71.

Born on August 21, 1954, Taramati was the beloved wife of the late Ghanshyam J. Patel, and a cherished mother of Sohag (Sam) Patel Vaghani and Sonali G. Patel.

Taramati found great joy in being a devoted homemaker, dedicating her life to caring for her family and raising her children with love, strong values, and quiet strength. Her home was a place of warmth and generosity, and her greatest fulfillment came from supporting her family throughout every stage of life.

Ghanshyam J. Patel & Taramati G. Patel, of South Barrington, devoted many years of service and leadership to the Indian and greater Chicagoland community, leaving a lasting impact through their dedication, compassion, and selfless service.

A Hindu puja–based funeral and memorial service, followed by family prayers, will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (Central Time) at Davenport Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 941 S. Old Rand Rd., Lake Zurich, Illinois.
