Therese Margaret Mary Duwe

Therese Margaret Mary Duwe, 79, of Crystal Lake passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024.  She was born in Chicago on August 29, 1944 to James and Therese (Coughlan) Gravin. 

She graduated from Immaculata High School in Chicago and attended Loyola University.  On June 6, 1971, Therese married David Duwe.   They made their home in Crystal Lake and raised three children. 

Therese was a die-hard Cubs fan.  Her heart was in teaching English Second Language and serving at her church.  She was a very talented artist and loved painting.  Her granddaughter, Madeline, brought immense joy to her life along with her many dogs over the years. 

She is survived by her husband, David; children, Michelle, Lara, and Matt (Shauna); sister, Marilu (Randy) Lowery; nieces, Erin and Kelly; along with many special cousins and extended family. 

Therese was preceded in death by her nephew, Rick Duwe, and brother-in-law, Mark Duwe. 

A visitation will be on Monday, April 22, from 10am until a mass at 11am at Resurrection Catholic Church,  2918 Country Club Rd, Woodstock. Burial will follow at Crystal Lake Memorial  Park.
