Therese Frances Waszak

Long-time Crystal Lake resident, Therese Waszak, died Thursday at JourneyCare in Barrington after a short illness.

Over the years, Therese was involved in many not-for-profit efforts locally, but especially enjoyed the days she spent at Little Christopher resale shop. In retirement, Therese and her husband traveled extensively and cherished the time they spent with family, friends, and neighbors.

She is survived by her children, Mary Ellen, Michael (Denise), and Daniel (Kimberly); five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Edward; her parents, Anthony and Frances Krysinski; and her sister, Patricia Dudzik.

Viewing and service will be held Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of prayers at 11:00 a.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt. 176) Crystal Lake. Cemetery service will be immediate family only.

The family requests donations to your local animal shelter in lieu of flowers.
