Thomas J. Boltz, 96, of Harvard, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026. He was born on August 2, 1929 in Chicago to the late Thomas W. and Mildred Boltz.
Tom proudly served in the United States Air Force, where he was an instructor for airplane repair. He was injured in an accident during his service and was honorably discharged. On January 3, 1953 he married Patricia Correll, together, they celebrated 58 beautiful years of marriage until her passing in 2011. Despite his injuries, he remained active in Disabled Veterans programs, continuing to support fellow veterans. A man of strong faith, Thomas was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Harvard, Illinois.
He enjoyed simple pleasures, especially fishing and model trains, which brought him peace and happiness throughout his life.
Thomas is survived by his sons, William A. (Kim) Boltz of Crystal Lake and Thomas P. Boltz; two grandchildren, Afton and Alexander (Judy); great-grandchildren, Raiden, Arla, Valyn, Ivy and step-great grandchild, Isaiah.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Patricia, Donna and Gerald.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026 from 10 AM until the 11 AM Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 206 E. Front St. Harvard, IL 60033, with Fr. Paul White officiating. Military honors to follow mass. Entombment will be Friday, January 23, 2026 at 10:30 AM at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery, Palatine.
