Timothy R. Andrlik

Timothy Robert Andrlik, 58, of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, June 12, 2025, with his wife by his side.

Tim was born June 22, 1966, in LaGrange, IL, to Robert and Sharon (Gallagher) Andrlik. He graduated from Roosevelt University and worked in the mortgage industry, most recently for Dovenmuehle Mortgage. Earlier in his career, Tim worked for Allstate Motor Club, where he mapped out road trips for members. Long before modern navigation systems, he carefully highlighted map routes by hand, helping countless travelers find their way.

On October 18, 1992, he married the love of his life, Dawn Lechner. They built a beautiful life together with their daughter, Payton, who was the light of his life.

Tim was kind, gentle, funny, and incredibly thoughtful. He was the guy who always remembered your birthday and made sure a card showed up right on time. He had a quiet strength, a big heart, and a collection of dad jokes that kept everyone groaning and laughing at the same time.

He loved football, especially the Bears, and could talk game strategy for hours. He was meticulous in everything he did, from work to planning the perfect family trip. He lived with deep love for his family, his church, and the simple joys of life.

Tim served faithfully at Living Grace Community Church and welcomed people with warmth and sincerity. His life was marked by gratitude, humility, and a steady, dependable love for those around him.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn; daughter, Payton; mother, Sharon; siblings, Terry Arya and Todd (Hillary) Andrlik; his nieces and nephews, Jennifer and Scott Arya, Katie (Jacob) Lorea, and Rory and Lincoln Andrlik.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert and his sister, Tricia.

Visitation to celebrate Tim’s life will be held on Saturday, June 21, from 2 p.m. until a service at 5 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes contributions that will be used to honor Tim’s memory in meaningful ways close to his heart.
