Timothy Fogarty

October 4, 1957 — July 1, 2023

Davenport Crystal Lake

Timothy Fogarty, 65, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2023 in Illinois. He was born in Troy, New York on October 4, 1957 to Daniel and Joan (nee Tracey) Fogarty.

In addition to his parents, Timothy is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Nancy (nee Stainsby); children, Michael Fogarty and Erin (Gilbert Rahme) Fogarty; grandson, Owen Rahme; brothers, Daniel (Karen) Fogarty, III and John (Cindy) Fogarty, along with many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Tim, a lifelong enthusiast of sports, excelled as an athlete throughout his life. He passed along this passion (and devotion as a Twins and Browns fan) to his children. Tim was also a respected baseball coach to kids through the years. A true Saratoga man, he had a genuine love of horse racing both as a fan and owner.

From Rock to Jazz to R&B, there wasn’t a good song he couldn’t name (as long as it came out before the 90s). And more than anything, Tim enjoyed a sunny day on the beach in Florida with his family. During his successful 30-year career at HSBC, he was a mentor to many. Once retired, he continued his mission to help others by joining Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.

To honor Tim’s memory, a celebration of life will be held on Aug 19, 2023, beginning with mass at 12 Noon at St. Clement’s Church, 231 Lake Ave, Saratoga Springs, NY, followed by a reception at 1:15 PM at The 408, 408 Broadway, Saratoga Springs.

Friends and family are invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital: https://www.stjude.org/donate/ or Big Brothers Big Sisters of America: https://www.bbbs.org/donate/ .
