Timothy S. Molloy

Timothy Shawn Molloy, of McHenry, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at the age of 66.

He was born June 10, 1959 in Elgin, the son of the late Robert and Ursula (nee Monette) Molloy.

Tim was a proud veteran of the United States Marines Corps, where he was a Cobra Helicopter Mechanic. After leaving the service, he started his career at the Martin Marietta Space Launch Complex in California before going on to American Airlines as a lead Aircraft Maintenance and Avionics Technician for 37 years.

Tim was a devoted fishermen and dog lover, who cherished time with his family and friends.

Tim was the loving husband of 46 years of Rosemarie; beloved dad to Rob (Amy) and Matt Molloy; cherished Peepa to Conor, Sean, Molly, and Nolan; loving brother to Kathleen (Randy) Lewis, Michael (Gorel) Molloy, the late Richard Molloy, Colleen (the late Jim) Lowe, and Pat (Mary) Molloy; uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 10th, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 6:30 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt. 176) Crystal Lake. Burial will be held the following day, Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 21731 Spring St., Union Grove, WI 53182.

Donations may be made in Tim’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
