Toshiko (Toni) Ishima, 88 years young, passed away September 5, 2013. Born August 18, 1925 in Hollywood, California, Toni was the daughter of Tsugi and Sotaro Miyakawa. She is survived by her husband Hitoshi Ishima, siblings Seichi Miyakawa, Mariko Sakata, and Jimmy Miyakawa. Additionally, Toni is survived by her three children: Dawn Patzelt, Ross Ishima, and Byron Ishima; as well as her grandchildren Rachel Ishima, Karleyne Ishima-Oien, Zachary Ishima, and Kaylor Patzelt.
Toni was vivacious, warm, loving, and she treasured her family and friends. She had a passion for gardening, raising boxer dogs, and family gatherings. Toni’s generous nature and positive spirit touched many lives and she will be sorely missed.
A private gathering will be held.
