Trevor Martin Fahey

December 29, 1991 — February 11, 2018

He was our dear son, middle brother to Gavin and Connor, a grandson, a cousin and a friend to many.  He passed away suddenly this past Sunday.   He leaves behind so many who loved him and whom he loved.

Trevor (or “Trev” for short) had both a big heart and an intellectual curiosity for the following: Friends and true friendship; art and music; philosophical/intellectual ideas and debates; the outdoors; taking long walks and biking, and virtually anything to do with great coffee, tea, wine, and beer.   He was, indeed, a young man with widely varied interests and an eye and ear for quality.

He was always what we would call ‘MORE”.  Full throttle on all the time.   He sought the most from his experiences, his conversations, his family, his friends, and was often unwilling to “settle” for the middle ground, the lukewarm/tepid or the “politically “correct. You knew when he was in the room as he engaged deeply with everyone. When you were talking to him he made you feel like no one else mattered or existed—a rare and great quality.

As dynamic as he could be, Trevor also struggled with bipolar disorder.  His illness sometimes cast long shadows over his experience, his judgment, his zest for life and even his cherished relationships and pursuits. He struggled hard to both understand the neuroscience behind this disorder and to compensate in his own way for its effects.

He had a good week this past week and got a job in an office, felt good about himself, was enjoying having his own small apartment in downtown Barrington and said “things are looking up in my life.”

Sadly he was found sleeping peacefully in his apartment as if he had taken a nap.  But he was gone.  No sign of any foul play or note or obvious intention.

Pray with us that he is at peace, that he continues to know the love of God and family and will  forever dwell in our hearts.  Godspeed Trevman!
