Barrington, Illinois,A Memorial Visitation for Virginia C. Cox nee Coburn, 87, of Barrington, will be held on Friday December 11, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Memorial Service at 10:30 a.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main Street (Lake Cook Rd.), Barrington. Interment to follow at Batavia West Side Cemetery, Batavia. Born June 26, 1922 in Chicago, Virginia passed away on December 4, 2009 in Barrington. Virginia was a Nurse at Lutheran General Hospital for 30 years, and a Nurse and Patient Care volunteer at Northwest Community Hospital. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed scuba diving, knitting, and ice cream. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, William H. Cox, whom she married on September 20 1946: cherished grandchildren Ellen (Michael) Dombrowski Robinson and Scott (Allison) Dombrowski; beloved great grandchild William Biser Dombrowski: and dear sister Sally Woolley. She was preceded in death by her daughter Leslie Ann Dombrowski.
