Virginia (Aikins) Madding

Virginia was born April 28, 1928 in Madison, WI to John and Margaret Aikins. She passed away peacefully at her home in Barrington December 15, 2017.
Virginia graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Madison in 1950. She loved spending time with family and friends, doing crossword puzzles, gardening, watching and following sports at all levels, and especially her nightly martini with blue cheese olives.
Virginia is survived by her daughter Margaret (Andrew) Rockwood; daughter in law, Suzy Madding; grandchildren, Andrew (Liz) Rockwood of Castle Rock, CO, Samantha (Mike) Smigielski of Hawthorn Woods, IL, Caroline (Jonny) Henson of Chicago, IL, Robert Madding of Chicago, IL, and Kierstyn Madding of Barrington, IL; and great grandchildren, Elaina, Andrew, Reagan, Eve, and Cora. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert and her son Tom.
Services for Virginia will be held privately.
