Virginia Barroso Soto, 96, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 16, 2026.

Virginia immigrated with her husband, Joseph, and young children, Maria and Edward, to the United States from Cuba in 1967. She was a devoted wife and mother and worked as an accountant to support her family. Virginia was a religious and spiritual person. In her later life she became "Abuelita" and was very close to her grandchildren, Trevor, Tiffany, Troy, and Travis.

Virginia survived her husband by several years, but dearly missed her life long partner. We know that they are united in Heaven.

We all are blessed to have had such a special person in our lives. She will be missed and remembered with love.

A visitation will be held at the Davenport Family Funeral Home at 149 W Main St, Barrington IL on Saturday, January 24th from 11am to time of service 2pm. 

Burial at Evergreen Cemetery will immediately follow.
